OPERATION
The new HEXAGON GLOBAL S, designed by Pininfarina in line with Hexagon's Enhanced Productivity Series (EPS) philosophy, combines advanced technologies to create an optimal measurement solution with multiple performance levels.
When producing components with complex geometries and tight tolerances, quality technicians and engineers need complete confidence that measurement data is under control.The GLOBAL S coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a Cartesian-axis measurement system with a gantry-style architecture and a vertical spindle capable of accommodating various types of sensors: point-to-point probes or continuous scanning probes.
It offers optimal dynamics and precision for its intended applications.The workpiece is secured on fixed chucks using threaded inserts on the worktable. The axis movements are always supervised by the control system and can be operated either by the measurement software or manually via the portable Jogbox (NJB) terminal.
